Greenville History Competition | 6/14/2010
Local Eighth Graders Compete in Greenville Area Historical Society
Greenville History Competition
Our Society proudly continued the local history competition initiated by board member Frank Stearns, who
passed away last year. Frank's idea was to get the young people in our town of Greenville, interested in learning and preserving our local history. We had an outstanding number of entries this year and the committee had a very difficult time choosing the top projects! We did choose a top three and also awarded 6 honorable mentions!
We want to thank all the entrants for all the hard work they put forth and to say we think they are all winners!
The top nine projects will be on display at the Waugh House Museum for the summer.

Contributing Artifacts | 7/11/2008
Many artifacts of life in Greenville are still lurking in local attics and garages. If these are items no longer meaningful to the family and are to be discarded please consider offering them to the Society. Just contact any member of the GAHS Board. A special Collections Committee will make a decision about accepting the items if there is a question; for example - we may already may have three of a particular item and another is not needed.
